Instead of rhythms on the lily pads, you could have an image of lily flowers on some and frogs on the other- pre-reading eighth notes (lily) and quarters (frog). Call out which one to swat, maybe have them play "frog" or "lily" 4 times on ridged rhythm sticks? I also teach pre-K- they are so fun and so high energy!! Thank you for your comment!
This is cute, I'll have to adjust it a bit for my pre-K's - but I LOVE the idea of using the fly swatter!! So fun!
